Besides kicking around syntax, I'm hoping that we could also lock down some less important aspects like **how it actually works**. Following Compositing-1 it seems that the color space should be (gamma-encoded) sRGB and assuming we want to allow non-sRGB colors then they would bet converted into extended-range sRGB before the compositing and blending operations. Is that right or do we want to address that implementations are sometimes compositing in device RGB space?
