The thinking was to support [this kind of usage](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10234#issuecomment-2067602846).
It would be nice though if we could come up with some actual useful functionality for these groups other than simple grouping. Are any of the things I mentioned [here](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10234#issuecomment-2075854977) feasible?
