That proposal sounds good.

Stating the obvious (?), this means we'll get the regular specificity characteristics as well. E.g. for `div,#foo { span {...} @nest { color:green; } }`, the `@nest` matches `<div>` with the specificity of `div`, not with the specificity of `#foo`.
