Re: [csswg-drafts] [css-grid] Introducing overlapping cells in grid-template-areas syntax (#2808)

The CSS Working Group just discussed `[css-grid] Introducing overlapping cells in grid-template-areas syntax`, and agreed to the following:

* `RESOLVED: Add bracketed syntax for multiple grid cell area names, as proposed in issue (to Grid Level 3)`

<fantasai> TabAtkins: Suggestion in the issue that sometimes it's useful to have overlapping areas in your grd
<fantasai> TabAtkins: always possible to position explicitly, but can't use named area syntax
<fantasai> TabAtkins: some reasonable use cases in the thread, and reasonable syntax proposed for it
<fantasai> TabAtkins: if you want to give a cell multiple names, use [ ] to surround the multiple names
<TabAtkins> https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2808#issuecomment-450992779
<fantasai> TabAtkins: So question is, does this sound OK to people?
<fantasai> TabAtkins: it's possible to do manually, but this makes it easier
<rachelandrew> +1 to this, I've been asked for this type of thing reasonably often.
<bramus> looks good
<oriol> Sounds reasonable
<fantasai> miriam: I like it.
<kizu> +1
<davidleininger> +1
<fantasai> TabAtkins: proposal to accept suggestion to use [ ] to allow multiple names for a grid cell
<fantasai> jensimmons: We had often assigned things like this to Grid 4, or should this go in 3?
<fantasai> TabAtkins: I don't like having multiple EDs or WDs running at the same time for a given module
<fantasai> TabAtkins: want to treat one level as current trunk
<fantasai> TabAtkins: no particular problem otherwise
<TabAtkins> fantasai: I think this can go in 3, there's several other reoslutions we wer eplanning to put in 3 and ahven't added them yet, mainly because we hadn't merged the stable text of Grid into 3 yet
<JaseW> proposal looks good +1
<TabAtkins> fantasai: we were still making changes to the Grid algo
<TabAtkins> fantasai: But since that's stabilizing now, once we publish 1 and 2 with the current text it would probably be a godo time to merge it up into 3 and edit these all in
<TabAtkins> (un-delta-ing 3)
<TabAtkins> jensimmons: makes sense to me
<fantasai> miriam: any objections to proposed resolution?
<fantasai> RESOLVED: Add bracketed syntax for multiple grid cell area names, as proposed in issue (to Grid Level 3)
