Based on @Loirooriol 's [comment](https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/5387660/comments/37498c9c_cdd76baa) in a Chromium code review, it sounds like: * Gecko and WebKit already treat these properties as aliases * Chromium currently treats them as shorthands, but has a few bugs with that handling, and would like to switch to aliases, which is simpler. I will also admit when reading the spec that I didn't catch the distinction that these *weren't* aliases. -- GitHub Notification of comment by dbaron Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/8014#issuecomment-2033090515 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
