It’s more readable in the sense that it contains the whole information in one declaration, that information being “set `pointer-events` to `none` only on the `.Nav` element itself”. A developer inspecting a web page in the browser currently cannot get this information by inspecting the `.Nav` element alone. They see the `pointer-events: none`, but they don’t know if the intention was to set it only on that element or the entire DOM sub-tree. They have to check one of the child elements to confirm that. That takes extra time. It can also be missed and cause confusion and bugs. It would be better if the whole information is contained within one declaration. That’s what I meant by more readable. -- GitHub Notification of comment by simevidas Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/9531#issuecomment-1782696010 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
