@kizu Lower boundary 'scope end' selectors only match descendants of the `:scope` by default - so your example would be valid, but the `:scope` ancestor would not be required for the use-case. I've written up a bit of a [FAQ explainer-addendum](https://css.oddbird.net/scope/nesting/) covering some of the questions that have come up repeatedly around the scope feature, including this one. Hopefully that's useful to people who haven't been 'in the weeds' for the entire process leading here. (I also updated the associated [explainer](https://css.oddbird.net/scope/explainer/) to match the current state of the (also updated) [Working Draft](https://www.w3.org/TR/css-cascade-6/) specification. -- GitHub Notification of comment by mirisuzanne Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6790#issuecomment-1478651607 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
