kizu has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [css-anchor-1] How it should work with `position: fixed`? == <details> <summary>Disclaimer and additional links</summary> I'm submitting my feedback following my experiments with the current implementation of anchor positioning in Chrome Canary. I wrote an article about my experiments, but decided to fill most of my feedback as separate issues here. A quick summary of related links: - [anchor positioning specs](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-anchor-position-1/) - [my article with the experiments](https://kizu.dev/anchor-positioning-experiments/) </details> I saw the `position: fixed` mentioned a few places in the spec examples: - https://drafts.csswg.org/css-anchor-position-1/#example-fcdb8337 - https://drafts.csswg.org/css-anchor-position-1/#example-fcdb8337 But outside of them, it is not mentioned anywhere in the spec. Should the spec define how it should be handled? I did not yet do almost any experiments with anchors and fixed positioning, would update this issue when would do — but would be awesome to hear what would be the intended behavior.
