Reiterating the **proposed resolution** : "If constraints on new elements participating in a transition become unsatisfied mid-transition, the transition is aborted." Note that this issue is limited to the behaviour if the constraints are changed by the developer during the transition. The exact constraints are already in the spec with active discussion on clarifying/relaxing them: - The element must have an associated box. - The element must have layout containment (#8139). - The element shouldn't allow fragmentation (needs more discussion). -- GitHub Notification of comment by khushalsagar Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7882#issuecomment-1377660423 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
