It’s two _(one for the scope and one for the timeline)_, but yeah I agree that it’s weird to have to use two names while only one should really be necessary. --- Re-reading this thread with all possible options again, it looks like the [`scroll-timeline-root` proposal](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7759#issuecomment-1477443523) gained most traction. It had a few remarks about the double handshake which – I think – flackr addressed [here](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7759#issuecomment-1520406239). Maybe it’s time to settle on it? From an author POV, I think this proposal strikes a good balance between keeping things simple while also allowing more complex setups without too much overhead. --- > _([#](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7759#issuecomment-1517338318))_ happy little subtree bubble Can we make this an official term? 🙃 -- GitHub Notification of comment by bramus Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7759#issuecomment-1521462900 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
