duration: `auto` is also very useful/important as a default for group and sequence effects. This is why it's the default value if unspecified for web animations. See the definitions for the intrinsic iteration duration (the duration used when `auto` is specified for [group effects](https://drafts.csswg.org/web-animations-2/#the-intrinsic-iteration-duration-of-a-group-effect) and [sequence effects](https://drafts.csswg.org/web-animations-2/#the-intrinsic-iteration-duration-of-a-sequence-effect) -- GitHub Notification of comment by flackr Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/8656#issuecomment-1520203467 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
