Have there been considerations for enabling authors to retrieve the new focus/tab order from the DOM? A use-case for this is implementing something like a roving tab index. Imagine wanting to add arrow key listeners to move between cards (links) in a masonry layout where the whole grid is a single tab-stop. Current solutions parse the DOM for focusable elements and assume they're in the correct visual order. These implementations are buggy when elements are reordered and without a way to get the visual/reading order from the DOM, they'll stay buggy after this change. -- GitHub Notification of comment by NickGard Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7387#issuecomment-1519100168 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
