(this is an official extension, it basically just provide a way to adjust corresponding font settings in `Preferences`. You can edit them manually too it's just a JSON file):

MSYH has been the default for sans-serif for years, but it was SimSun at one point. If I have to guess, your issue probably is caused by an old profile which inherited such settings from previous installs.

As I clarified above, I meant that they're too big (wide?). Not the glyphs themselves are bad.
