I don't think you've missed out on any conversation beyond this - the group formed, but never picked up momentum. If you look at the dates, I think its likely COVID interrupted these conversations. In the meantime I've noticed that the yearly '[Interop](https://wpt.fyi/interop-2022)' projects fill _some_ of this role. It's a nice yearly subset of new or new-ish features, with a clear story for marketing to authors. _All the browsers have agreed to make this work by the end of the year_.
