I am asking in this issue because it seems to be the most active, but it is a duplicate of #2350: for specified value, why not just serialize as specified by the author? [*Retaining more details of what the author originally wrote*](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5642#issue-725977850) seems to be an implicit principle for specified values. Is it because browsers have to compare `"foo"` and `foo` to figure out at parse time that it is the same family (or keyframe/animation) name? -- GitHub Notification of comment by cdoublev Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5846#issuecomment-1319137622 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
