Makes sense to me. There's this issue for `<select>`: https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7422. Just pointing it out, since it is (somewhat?) orthogonal to `:open`, since it matches `<select>` that **will show** a dropdown, even when that dropdown isn't "open". So maybe they're useful together?
