The new Lr lightness estimator brings in a dependency on viewing conditions, which the original OK L did not have; and which is an advantage of the original OK L especially if it allows extension to HDR or at least EDR. Lr also adds a little computational complexity. I would like to examine it some more and also see how it impacts deltaE, but my initial impression is to stick with the original OK L. I'm very open to thoughts on which would be the better option though. -- GitHub Notification of comment by svgeesus Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6642#issuecomment-926599410 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
