That suggestion was made before the opsz axis definition in the OT spec was revised and clarified, when it seemed that different environments might interpret the unit scale differently when using `auto`, so allow for manual override in the CSS. I wonder if that suggestion still makes sense now that the unit scale has been clarified? I can imagine contexts in which someone may wish to apply different opsz selection—hence absolute, relative and calc options—, but I wonder if also enabling this to be done by redefining the opsz unit is helpful?
