Re: [csswg-drafts] [css-overflow] [css-transform] Should transformation affect the scroll direction via touchpads/touchscreens? (#5733)

The CSS Working Group just discussed `Should transform affect scroll-direction of touchpads?`, and agreed to the following:

* `RESOLVED: Adding a note describing the behavior to the css-overflow spec`

<emilio> topic: Should transform affect scroll-direction of touchpads?
<emilio> github: https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5733
<emilio> fantasai: the question is what happens to various ways of scrolling when you have a transform
<emilio> ... on firefox the wheel follows logical directions
<emilio> ... while touchpad uses physical directions
<Rossen_> q?
<emilio> ... other UAs do different stuff
<TabAtkins> q+
<emilio> ... this is not defined, do we want to specify this?
<Rossen_> ack TabAtkins
<smfr> q+
<emilio> TabAtkins: Given the complexity of what transforms can do to an element I doubt that we can provide strict rules
<emilio> ... but guidance sounds good
<florian> q+
<fantasai> +1
<Rossen_> ack smfr
<emilio> ... flipping an element and scrolling with the trackpad should probably scroll visually
<Rossen_> ack florian
<emilio> smfr: I'd prefer not defining this strictly, we rely on UIKit and doing something different is probably very hard
<emilio> florian: If you manipulate a touchscreen there's a clear expectation, but mousewheel is different. Should guidance for direct manipulation sounds worth it but trackpads are harder
<Rossen_> q?
<chris> yeah users have two, conflicting, ways that touchpads and mice should work and each user hates one of them
<emilio> Rossen_: seems there's agreement to add guidance, would this go to overflow?
<emilio> florian: yeah, we talking about a note?
<emilio> Rossen_: yeah
<emilio> florian: fine by me
<emilio> RESOLVED: Adding a note describing the behavior to the css-overflow spec
