The whole point is separation of concerns, and being able to use CSS for styling. If we give up on that, components can already invent their own attributes (and this is what they've been doing, see first post), not sure what new thing there is to invent here. Is this just for inheritance? Inherited attributes would be useful in their own right, but a suboptimal solution here.
