SamB has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [CONTRIBUTING]: how to make a "non-member patent licensing commitment"? == Well, I'm a bit confused by this passage: https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/blob/f2e3f006d09bc6ce5b2d03be0abef47c98bd1408/CONTRIBUTING.md#L12-L13 I tried following the [W3C Patent Policy](https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20200915/) link just above that, but while they do define the term *licensing commitment* in <https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20200915/##spec-licensing-commitments>, the definition is a bit on the declarative side: it doesn't say anything about how to adequately record having made such a commitment. [That's not why I was looking at the CONTRIBUTING file, though: I was actually hoping for information on how to preview edits without doing a PR.] --- > * please tag the issue title with the spec's shortname, like `[css-foo]` Well, CONTRIBUTING isn't a spec, but I didn't just make it up either. Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6866 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
