I found this on css tricks about SVG and using two colors un <use> and I think it's quite similar to the parent/inheritance relationship, and uses currentColor as a nice little way to avoid the shadow DOM boundary; https://css-tricks.com/lodge/svg/21-get-two-colors-use/
