One thing that I think has not totally been agreed on is whether these functions should influence colour-stop fixup. I think they should be consistent with interpolation hints which currently do influence the fixup but it seems that some people on this thread disagree. It was [mentioned before](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/3931) earlier. To be clear, this influence is why the first and second gradients on [this page](https://brycemw.ca/experiments/gradients) do not look the same even though the midpoint between the first two colour stops is 50%.
