The spec says "Let device pixel size be the vertical size of a device pixel of the output device."

So if the OS doesn't let you know about device pixel size, I guess browsers on that OS can't conform to CSSOM View in these situations. And `srcset` might be selecting less-than-ideal candidates to load, indeed.
