There is a compelling accessibility reason to allow for variable scrollbar sizes beyond `auto, thin, none` especially given that `auto` is defined by the platform (i.e., user agent). Pointer device users with motor issues and/or low vision could benefit from scroll bars that appear larger for them or scale with user agent zoom. Easier to "land on" and easier to see.
