Oh nice! I didn’t know `text-underline-offset`. It seems like this would enable me to do (almost) anything I needed this `z-index` for. This `text-decoration-z-index` idea would still be necessary in cases where the author wants to use multiple `text-decoration-line` values, like for instance `text-decoration-line: underline overline`.
