2 and 3 seem pretty similar to me. Just to clarify, is it right that the only differences are: * 3 has access to some "magic" variables like available-inline-size for use in the condition part, while 2 does not * 3 can use any syntax in the value part, while 2 is limited to a single value If so, 3 just seems like a more general version of 2, rather than "none of them can reasonably be folded into the other".
