TalbotG has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [css-pseudo-4] UA must (instead of should) use the OS-default highlight colors ... == If "Historically (and at the time of writing) only color and background-color have been interoperably supported." coming from §3.2 Styling Highlights https://www.w3.org/TR/css-pseudo-4/#highlight-styling then I think the following statement can safely use a MUST and not a SHOULD: " The UA _**should**_ use the OS-default highlight colors for ::selection when neither color nor background-color has been specified by the author. " coming from §3.4 Cascading and Per-Element Highlight Styles https://www.w3.org/TR/css-pseudo-4/#highlight-cascade Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/4785 using your GitHub account
