The other main issue I've taken with the current syntax proposal is that IMO, too many tangentially related concepts are being squeezed into a single property: `prefers-contrast`. The `forced` value has no direct relationship to contrast. Forced colors can be any value, resulting in higher, lower, or no change in contrast.
