They should have made it clear since the beginning of the development of CSS that such numbers mean version control. We can see that many developers are waiting for something from another world that will transform the entire reality of the web, but it will not happen in the way that they think. It may be that tomorrow new features will be increased, but it does not mean that it is a new technology. At this point, in addition to the crisis with CSS, there is still one with HTML, about "HTML6".
