For next time, one possible proposed resolution is: > With respect to scrollbars, contain-intrinsic-size should have same effect as if the child content was laid out and that size was calculated as the bounding box for the child content (and that child-content size doesn't change whether the scrollbars are there or not). We clearly have some confusion about what that should mean in the details (e.g., differences between `overflow: auto` vs `overflow: scroll`).
