Glad to hear this was discussed in TPAC. However, i couldn't tell from the IRC notes above what the group decided on for next steps. PINGs objection is still the same, that the privacy harm enabled by the spec has demonstrated "in the wild" harm, and so need some solution in the spec. What I took away from the IRC conversation is that the group needs further data to decide the correct mitigation. Is this correct? If so, do ya'll have a plan for getting that data? Happy to support that effort if possible.
