@ExE-Boss In Edge/IE they just always stay in "floated" mode, meaning that they're still usable even though the selector is unsupported. Is that what it looks like in Safari?

`:-ms-input-placeholder` _sort_ of works, only the transition only seems to happen once a hover event happens. See [fiddle](https://jsfiddle.net/Sora2455/gf5rduy7/2/embedded/result,css,html,js) (in IE, obviously).
