@SelenIT I don't think that's the case, at least as strongly as you suggest. I think there is consensus that it shouldn't affect anything as long as at least one descendant of the element is rendered. If both the element and all of its descendants are rendered, there is nothing to focus on. But that is a question for the HTML spec, not CSS. CSS is as precise as it can be.
