So it looks like we agree to use the steps described by Tab [here](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/556#issuecomment-434034827) (with some changes to consider the shadow-hidden-ness) and [here](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/556#issuecomment-429422850). Should I/anybody interested make a spec change PR with those steps then?
