Couldn't the flash of white issue be more simply solved by just using the theme of the previously visited site? The way I see it, flashing is only a problem when it needlessly happens between two dark sites.

Also, wouldn't it make more sense to use add attributes to `<link rel="stylesheet" .../>` instead of using a meta tag?
