xianshenglu has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == differences between inline element and inline level element == `[CSS2.1]` `[Visual formatting model]` [CSS2.1 Visual formatting model](https://www.w3.org/TR/2011/REC-CSS2-20110607/visuren.html#inline-boxes) defines `inline level element`,`inline-level box `and `inline box`. **However I didn't find the definition of `inline element`. And there is some place using `inline element` rather than other terms. It turns out that `inline element` is not equal to `inline level element`. ** So,I am here to ask for a definition of `inline element`. Ambiguous example: [the-width-property](https://www.w3.org/TR/2011/REC-CSS2-20110607/visudet.html#the-width-property) said > This property does not apply to non-replaced inline elements. However,we both know that `width` applies to `non-replaced inline block element` which is a `inline level element`. So,in this case, ` inline elements` is not equal to `inline level element`. And cases like above happened many times. Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2687 using your GitHub account
