gsnedders has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts:

== Canvas background with display:none or visibility:hidden ==
https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2014Jul/0137.html from @SimonSapin

Decided to add errata: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2014Jul/0162.html (seemingly no formal resolution!)

CSS 2.1 errata: https://www.w3.org/Style/css2-updates/REC-CSS2-20110607-errata.html#s.14.2

Discussion of errata text: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2014Jul/0299.html

Proposal to amend errata: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2014Jul/0312.html (no responses, errata never amended)

@fantasai took an action to update tests, @dbaron having mentioned root-box-003 in the 2.1 testsuite (now at css/CSS2/box-display/root-box-003.xht), but at least that test doesn't seem to have been modified since 2011. Anyone have any recollection of writing any tests? (Note there are more in the original email, linked at the top of this issue)
