@zcorpan Thank you for the summary. I agree to add only `preventScroll` to focus(), while other features such as smooth scrolling, alignment in the scrolling box could be handled using other APIs. In addition, `scrollOptions` such as scrolling behavior and customizing alignment would be investigated aligned with CSS Scroll Snap. Regarding interoperability of alignment(block/inline) for focus() summarized in [the comment](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/pull/1805#issuecomment-331383688) above, interests from browser vendors seems to be important.
