I think `font-width` is the best possible name and shouldn't cause 
confusion with a distiinction between variable width and monospace 
fonts since that's a difference between font families and not normally
 a property within a font family. 'Width' is the normal term covering 
normal, condensed, and expanded forms within a font family.
