@RoelN The _overriding variation selectors_ part is special to emojis (although it could be applied to other sequences in [StandardizedVariants.txt](http://unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/StandardizedVariants.txt)). In #352, I originally wanted to cover color fonts as well, but that was not considered helpful:  WG members and other participants &ndash; myself included &ndash; got confused, the discussion got side-tracked. That's *not* saying it's a bad idea per se.
