Thanks @MadeByMike ! They'll likely be somewhat interchangeable, but I
 only learned recently that the reason I've had to use 
`font-feature-settings` for so long is that not all the browsers have 
implemented the `font-variant-*` settings, and didn't want us to end 
up in the same pickle here of using a hammer instead of 'just the 
right tool' (and focus on pushing for proper implementation too)
