`font-width` sounds as if you could switch between fixed/monospaced and variable/proportional/dynamic with it. It’s also easily associated with half-width sinograms etc. as in [`font-variant-east-asian: <east-asian-width-values>`](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-fonts-3/#font-variant-east-asian-prop) (OTF `fwid` and `pwid`, not `hwid`, `twid` or `qwid`) and [`text-transform: full-width`](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-text-3/#text-transform-property). -- GitHub Notification of comment by Crissov Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/551#issuecomment-251932558 using your GitHub account
