Maybe. Does any browser support that behavior though? Browsers that 
don't have the `contain` value explicitly still have that behavior on 
editable elements, and I don't think anyone makes it possible for 
selections to escape the editable element. Also, I don't think I've 
heard anyone calling for it (but that might just be me not listening 
enough). In the absence of both implementations or demand, I though it
 would be simpler to just not allow it. If there's evidence to the 
contrary, I'm open to changing my mind on this though, as my 
opposition based on practical concerns, not on a matter of principle.
