That said, I did find another example of indicating comma-separated sequences with `#` in [RFC 7230](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7230#section-7) (though it might well have been inspired by e811c7f6db57dbfc239b040e5135c2b86ba04e8e), and also prior art in an [early draft](https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-drums-abnf-01#section-3.9) of RFC 2234 from 1997 that didn't make it into the final version.
