With your support, the Browser Extension Community Group has been launched:
http://www.w3.org/community/browserext/
This group was originally proposed on 2015-05-07
by Andrey Rybka. The following people supported its
creation:
Andrey Rybka
Gennady Slobodsky
Tao Jin
Erik Anderson
Huy Nguyen
To join the group, please use:
http://www.w3.org/community/browserext/join
Please note that supporting a group is different from joining
a group. Supporters must also enroll if they wish to participate.
--------------------
Problem: There is no cross browser standard for building browser
extensions, which requires developers to create extensions for each
browser individually.
Proposal/Mission: The Browser Extension group will attempt to
standardize extension package structure, API, portability etc., across
browsers.

Thank you,
