Re: Regarding start of Community Group beta today (2011-06-28)

Dear Ian,

great news. I saw that the mailing lists are set up. I assume they are
ready to use, is that right?

I have a question regarding the CLA, actually it's a question Neil
Trevett (Khronos/Nvidia) raised on our preparation meeting: If the CG
will never complete a specification / will never transit to to W3C
Recommendation Track (of course we hope that will not happen), what
about my contributions? In other words: If W3C will never utilize my
contribution, I will not be able to exploit it in a proprietary way
because it's under CLA?

This might be an issue for organizations...

Best reagrds,
   Kristian

We will be adding those to the system. When everything is in place and "cleaned up" I'll write to let you know that we're underway. I expect this later today Chicago time.

There are features for polls, events, and obviously generic blogging. I look forward to hearing your feedback on using a blog to create news for your group home page.
