New WCAG 3 subgroups: Special meeting tomorrow/Tuesday, plus regular meeting times

Hi, COGA folks, I'm sending a follow-up to my October 14th email about the
new WCAG 3 subgroups that started meeting in mid-November. Below are
details about the four new groups in case you want to join:

*Note about Tuesday, November 19th*
All four of the new subgroups will have a special meeting as breakout
sessions during the 2nd hour of AG's regular weekly meeting.

   - *Approximate start time: *12pm Boston time (the regular AG meeting
   starts at 11am)

      - Sign into your W3C account in the upper right of the page.
      - Then scroll down and click the "Join this meeting" button.

*1. Text Appearance Subgroup *

   - *Goal: *Develop WCAG 3 guideline that includes text size, text style,
   and minimum and maximum contrast.
      - *Draft of user-centered outcome:* Users can read visually rendered
      text.
   - *Group leader: *DJ Chase; dchase@necc.mass.edu
   - *Weekly meeting time: *Monday at 10am Boston time



*2. Text To Speech Subgroup*

   - *Goal: *Develop WCAG 3 guideline that includes making human language
   programmatically available and making meaning that is conveyed by text
   appearance programmatically available.
      - *Draft of user-centered outcome:* Users can access text content and
      its meaning with text-to-speech tools.
   - *Group leader: *Shawn Thompson; shawn@shawnthompson.ca
   - *Weekly meeting time: *Thursday at 11am Boston time

*3. Views Subgroup*


   - *Goal: *Develop WCAG 3 definition of "view" that works for apps, web
   pages, and other platforms/technologies.
      - No draft outcome needed; this new subgroup has a different scope
      than the other three groups in this list.
   - *Group leader: *Jan Jaap de Group; janjaap@abra.nl
   - *Weekly meeting time: *Wednesday at 9am Boston time


*4. Voice Control Subgroup*

   - *Goa**l: *Develop WCAG 3 guideline that will include input and output.
      - *Draft of user-centered outcome: *To be developed.
   - *Group leader: *Giacomo Petri; giacomo.petri@usablenet.com
   - *Weekly meeting time: *Thursday at 9am Boston time
