Voluntary doesn’t mean compensated or not. It just means not required. I saw the “voluntary” part.

I am a TF member, and a user researcher. I don’t think adding a sentence stating that no compensation will be provided is substantial. It’s a minor, yet important, editorial change. Especially important when dealing with the COGA community. Don’t ewe espouse “clear language”? voluntary has no association with compensation, and any person familiar with user research, especially persons with disabilities, is likely expecting to be compensated.

This text has gone through multiple iterations, been reviewed and edited by the TF, and been approved by the W3C staff, so I'm hesitant to make any larger changes than formatting at this point.
