COGA members, please attend AG's WCAG 3 Github training session on either August 8th or 15th

Hi, folks, at today's COGA taskforce meeting, Rachael previewed some
important AG changes to the WCAG 3 development process. You can get more
details from today's minutes
<https://www.w3.org/2023/07/31-coga-minutes.html>. But I'm sending this
summary to make sure all COGA members are aware of the upcoming changes and
training sessions.

*Summary of AG's new process for developing WCAG 3:*

   - AG will stop sending surveys by email. (Part of the reason for this
change is to put an end to the lengthy, hard-to-follow conversations that
   have been happening over email.)
   - Github will be the main way people can comment on WCAG 3 drafts, etc.
      - Reviewers can leave comments directly in Github or in a google doc
that the Github thread links to.
   - Each Github thread will make clear what the deadline is for commenting.
   - Please note: CFC's (calls for consensus) will still be sent by email.

*AG training session on how to use Github for WCAG 3:*

   - This training session is highly relevant to any COGA members who are
helping develop WCAG 3 guidelines and/or want to weigh in on the guidelines
that are being developed by other WCAG 3 sprint teams.
   - There will be two training sessions (no need to attend both):
      - Tuesday, August 8th, or Tuesday, August 15th
      - 11am to 1pm ET (during AG's regular weekly meeting)
      - AG's teleconference and IRC info:
      https://www.w3.org/2017/08/telecon-info_ag
      <https://www.w3.org/2017/08/telecon-info_ag>
   - The training sessions will be recorded. AG is also planning to build a
library of resources on how to do specific Github tasks.

*Want a calendar invite for either of these AG training sessions?*

   - Please don't reply all. Just reply individually to me and I'll send
   you an invite, thanks!

*Want to attend an additional training session on how to use Github with a
screen reader?*

   - Please email the AG chairs: group-ag-chairs@w3.org

*And last but not least: *

   - Thank you, Eric, for chairing and scribing today's COGA meeting!
